Healthcare

Maroy Foundation Hospital, the flagship institution of Maroy Foundation, is a leading non-profit private hospital dedicated to providing high quality, affordable healthcare to the people of South Kivu. Our operating model allows us to charge only essential administrative costs, enabling our services to be more than 50% more competitive in price than other healthcare providers in Bukavu whilst maintaining international standards of care.

Specialising in maternal, newborn, and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and a broad spectrum of general and specialist services, including paediatrics, surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, dermatology, and medical imaging, the hospital offers truly comprehensive care. Facilities include a radiography centre, laboratory, surgery ward, maternity ward, paediatric ward, outpatient clinic, A&E, and internal medicine services.

Whilst our new permanent facility is under construction, our operations continue under temporary provision. The ongoing regional conflict has presented significant challenges, but our staff's commitment to delivering essential healthcare services to our community under pressure remains unwavering.

In partnership with the South Kivu Ministry of Health and Build Health International, Maroy Foundation Hospital will break ground on a state-of-the-art new facility in Bagira. The site will house the Centre d’Excellence Kanza-Blouin en Santé Maternelle et de l’Enfant and expand services across the Province.

Grounded in strong governance, zero tolerance for corruption, and a track record of discipline and delivery, Maroy Foundation Hospital combines world class healthcare with community empowerment, broad partnerships with international institutions, and we ensure training, research, and knowledge transfer for the next generation of Congolese healthcare professionals.

Education

Maroy Foundation is committed to advancing education and equity through two flagship scholarship tracks.

The King Maroy Bursaries Fund
Administered by Homerton College, University of Cambridge, this Fund in memory of King Maroy provides maintenance grants to refugee and carer undergraduate students. The Fund reflects our commitment to creating  genuine pathways for inclusion and opportunity at one of the world’s leading universities.

South Kivu Secondary Scholarship Programme
This Fund supports exceptional secondary school students from South Kivu by covering the full cost of school fees throughout their studies. In addition, beneficiaries receive free access to healthcare services at Maroy Foundation Hospital, ensuring that both education and wellbeing are secured for the next generation of leaders.

Together, these programmes embody the Foundation’s mission to break cycles of poverty, invest in human potential, and create meaningful impact both locally in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and internationally.
